Before attempting to remove stock insert seek information from certified Harley Davidson dealer about your model of motorcycle and recomended removal instructions.
Note: Some models requier the removal of the stock insert by removeing the chrome dash plate from the tank via the 3 screws that hold it down. One is under the front of the seat and the other 2 are under the fuel door. Other models can be remove by prying up a corner with a small screw driver or knife. If it is difficult to remove you may soften the insert with a hair dryer. Never use a heat gun.
Peel the backing off of your Fireman Joes insert and apply with minimum pressure. Once
the insert is in place, press firmly to set adhesive.
Only clean with soap and water. Never use chemicals or wax on insert.
